Destash Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Destash?

A fabric destash is a way to offload extra or a lot of fabric that a sewist may no longer need. Typically, destashed fabrics are in good condition and 100% usable.

Why Are You Destashing Fabric?

For 5+ Years, I have accumulated a LOT of fabric that I thought that I would use eventually - especially when I had my children’s clothing store. I have decided to take my business in another direction and in order to prepare for this, I need to clear some space.

Why Is The Fabric So Cheap?

Although I’ve paid any where between $5 and $40+ per yard for the fabric in my stash, I really just want to get rid of it quickly because I’m so excited for what the future holds for me and my brand! This is why all of the fabric is $2/yard - regardless of what I paid for it.

Is Something Wrong With the Fabric?

About 98% of the fabric has no flaws. I do not smoke and I have no pets. If there is a stain, then the item description will have those details. Some fabric may have been pre-washed, but I am not sure which ones have or haven’t. Please assume that what you are receiving has not been pre-washed.

Is the Fabric The Full Width?

Most of the fabric is the full width. If it is not, then it will be labeled as scrap and the item description will have the dimensions. I am not able to cut fabric, so the entire amount must be purchased.

How Do You Ship?

I only ship through USPS flat rate shipping. I know that this is pretty expensive, but this actually was the cheapest way for me to ship without making the price of the fabric more than $2 per yard. Packages up to 1 lb will ship in a small flat rate box. Packages between 1lb and 3lbs will be shipped in a medium flat rate box. Packages between 3lbs and 5lbs will be shipped in a large flat rate box. I usually can ship in 2-3 business days, but please allow up to 5 business days for processing.

Is There Anything Else I Need To Know?

Yes. There are no refunds or no exchanges. I cannot cancel an order once the shipping label has been generated. If you have questions, please contact me at hello@ashleythesewcialite.com.
